Taoyuan is home to 17 colleges and universities as well as the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology and the Atomic Energy Council’s Institute of Nuclear Energy Research. Besides training over 26,000 students each year, its central position in northern Taiwan enables it to use incubation resources from both Taipei and Hsinchu. Cooperation between the central government, academia and enterprises has enabled Taoyuan to build a strong talent base that supports local industry.
